So at work we have this filing cabinet that we *just* got, brand new (to us) and somebody locked it and threw away the key. Brilliant.

So I decided that I would try to pick the lock. Something I’ve never done before and figured it would be worth a try. I followed the tips this guy (http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1040770/lock_picking_101/) showed us. I also read just a small bit off of lockpicking101.com, which helped me understand the lock just a tiny bit. It’s scary how simple filing cabinet locks are. I don’t feel that they provide much more security than a staple does holding a paper bag shut.

I plan on buying a lock pick set now!!
